In what appeared to be a late audition for the film “Magic Mike”, Jacko Strong stomped a Body Varial seat grab riding shirtless.
“I am stoked to win back-to-back in Best Trick,” Strong said. “That was only the second time I have every landed that trick, I am pumped.”
Strong continued the recent string of Australian dominance in Best Trick as he and fellow countryman Cam Sinclair have the last three golds between them. Sinclair who debated about riding in the event showed off his double back flip he has perfected sending him away from X Games with a bronze medal.
A lot of hype was placed on the event with several riders unveiling never landed before tricks. Unfortunately they remained unlanded. Clinton Moore, Kyle Loza, Bruce Cook and Mark Monea were all lucky to walk out in one piece after several serious crashes.
Since moving X Games to LA in 2002, the audience on hand Friday night at STAPLES Center set a new record for the biggest Moto X crowd. 33,700 fans filled the arena to capacity to witness records broken and gravity defied.
