The 2015 U.S. Snowboarding and Freeskiing halfpipe and slopestyle teams were announced yesterday in Copper Mountain.
The 2015 U.S. Snowboarding halfpipe and slopestyle teams, included veterans and Olympians Sage Kotsenburg (Park City, UT), Kelly Clark (West Dover, VT), Greg Bretz (Mammoth Lakes, CA) and Chas Guldemond (Truckee, CA). New additions to the pro team this year included Chloe Kim (Torrance, CA), Ben Ferguson (Bend, OR) and rookie-turned-Olympian Taylor Gold (Steamboat Springs, CO).

The team features a world-class roster of 23 internationally ranked snowboarders including twelve Olympians and three Olympic gold medalists.
“I am excited for this winter, it is nice to have time to work on my snowboarding as it is a post Olympic year,” said Kelly Clark. “Being on the U.S. Snowboarding team gives me the resources and opportunity push myself and learn new things. Behind every great athlete there is a team of great people and U.S. Snowboarding is part of that team for me.”
The 2015 U.S. Freeskiing halfpipe and slopestyle teams, led by Olympic champions David Wise (Reno, NV), Maddie Bowman (S. Lake Tahoe, CA) and Joss Christensen (Park City, UT), were announced Thursday at the opening Sprint Grand Prix in Copper. This year’s team features a hard hitting roster of decorated Olympic medalists, including Nick Goepper (Lawrenceburg, IN), Devin Logan (West Dover, VT) and Gus Kenworthy (Telluride, CO), along with rookie skiers ready to make their mark on the U.S. Freeskiing scene.
After a successful inaugural Olympic showing, there is much anticipation for freeskiing’s return to snow. Six of the 36 athletes named to the 2015 U.S. Freeskiing team are newly decorated Olympic medalists including Olympic Champions David Wise, Maddie Bowman and Joss Christensen.

Also named to the impressive roster were several members of last year’s rookie team including Maggie Voisin (Whitefish, MT), Lyman Currier (Boulder, CO) and Annalisa Drew (Andover, MA), who all made the 2014 Olympic team.
“We are fortunate to have so many talented athletes representing U.S. Freeskiing and Snowboarding,” said Mike Jankowski, Head U.S. Freeskiing and U.S. Snowboarding Coach. “After some amazing performances at the Olympics last February, we are eager to build on that momentum moving forward. Everyone brings something unique to the team and is working hard to keep improving and keep it fun. We look forward to another great season.”
