ESPN X Games to Host Five Real Series Video Competitions for 2015

Press Release – ESPN X Games

As part of the expanded content offerings provided by World of X Games on ABC, X Games will host five Real Series competitions in 2015, including, for the first time ever, Real Moto. Each Real Series competition will culminate in a one-hour World of X Games show on ABC which will air video parts, behind-the-scenes athlete interviews and select the winner for the event. Like past Real Series competitions, each athlete will be given the opportunity to team with an editor to partner on the production of the video and present their vision in their own unique style. Each Real Series event’s videos will premiere on XGames.com where fans can watch and vote for their favorite.

The complete Real Series schedule for 2015 is detailed below:

  • Real Snow – March 7, 2015
  • Real Street – June 2015
  • Real Moto – August 2015
  • Real Ski Backcountry – October 2015
  • Real Snow Backcountry – November 2015

The 2015 series will begin with Real Snow, airing March 7 on ABC. Each Real Snow video part will debut on www.XGames.com/RealSnow to be judged by the invited riders and filmers.  A first place cash prize will be awarded to the winner, as well as gold, silver and bronze medals for the top 3 snowboarders and their filmers. Fans will also have a chance to view and vote on their favorite video in a tournament-style bracket with the fan favorite winning an additional cash prize.

The five Real Snow athletes invited to compete are Jeremy Jones, Sebastien Toutant, Dan Brisse, Dylan Thompson and Chris Grenier.
