Street League Skateboarding (SLS), witnessed history being made during this weekend’s SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championship held in Chicago, IL at the UIC Pavilion Center. In an explosive end to the season, the Top Eight finalists which included Luan Oliveira, Nyjah Huston, Kelvin Hoefler, Chaz Ortiz, Paul Rodriguez, Shane O’Neill, Cody McEntire and Chris Cole came together to compete for the ultimate title of World Champion.
For the first time in Street League history, SLS Rookie Kelvin Hoefler went trick for trick with SLS Veterans and came out on top to take the title of 2015 Street League Skateboarding Nike SB Super Crown World Champion.
Preceding the main event was the inaugural Women’s Division contest in which eight handpicked female street skateboarders had the chance to compete for the title of Champion. Battling it out in the arena were Leticia Bufoni, Lacey Baker, Pamela Rosa, Samarria Brevard, Alexis Sablone, Vanessa Torres, Marisa Dal Santo, and Alana Smith. Leticia Bufoni’s 360 Boardflip over the wedge gap sealed the deal for first place against Vanessa Torres and crowned her as the first-ever female SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Champion.
